Commission européenne — stratégie numérique publie « First harmonised standard supporting the AI Act published in the Official Journal ». Le fil écrit : « First harmonised standard supporting the AI Act published in the Official Journal Anonymous (not verified) Mon, 10/19/2026 - 09:37 The European Commission has published the reference to the first harmonised standard supporting the implementation of the AI Act in the Official Journal of the European Union. The standard, EN 18286:2026 - Artificial intelligence - Quality management system for EU AI Act regulatory purposes , developed by CEN and CENELEC, provides a clear legal pathway for providers of high-risk AI systems to comply with the quality management system requirements under article 17 of the AI Act . Its publication through Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/2274 means that providers implementing this standard will benefit from a presumption of conformity with the Article 17 requirements covered by the standard. EN 18286 translates these requirements into an operational quality management system (QMS). It is the only AI QMS standard with a presumption of conformity. It is mapped to Article 17 of the AI Act, built around the AI system lifecycle – rather than the organisation – and designed to be layered on top of the existing international standards – such as ISO/IEC 42001, ISO 9001 or a sectoral QMS (e.g. ISO 13485) – rather than replace them. EN 18286 explicitly allows providers in regulated sectors to integrate management systems, rather than run separate ones. Organisations without ISO/IEC 42001 that plan to place or put into service high-risk AI systems in the EU market can use EN 18286 to expand an existing QMS or build one that fulfills the requirements of article 17 requirements. The publication of this standard marks an important milestone in implementing the AI Act, ahead of the application of requirements for high-risk AI systems , with further harmonised standards expected to follow. Commission européenne — stratégie numérique publie « Commission accepts Temu's action plan to remedy the breach of the Digital Services Act ». Le fil écrit : « Commission accepts Temu's action plan to remedy the breach of the Digital Services Act Anonymous (not verified) Mon, 10/26/2026 - 10:28 The European Commission has accepted Temu's action plan to comply with the Digital Services Act (DSA) and tackle the availability of illegal products online. Temu's plan focuses on five measures to remedy its breach of the DSA. The company will carry out a platform-specific risk analysis. It will also use reliable metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the mitigation measures put in place in reducing the risk of dissemination of illegal content. The platform will assess the limitations of its content moderation and analyse whether, and how, its recommender systems may amplify the spread of illegal goods. Additionally, Temu will examine the influence of intentional manipulation and amplification of illegal items, including by sellers exploiting Temu's features to spread potentially illegal listings. The company now has four months to conduct an interim risk assessment that covers a six-month period, until 30 November 2026, to ensure the implementation of the measures of the action plan. The action plan is another example of how the DSA is enhancing consumer protection online and limiting the spread of illegal products in Europe. The action plan was submitted following a non-compliance decision in May 2026 , in which the Commission found that Temu had failed to comply with its risk assessment obligations, and issued a €200 million fine.
